Advanced Analysis for
Eccentric Shear/Torsion & Combined Shear/Tension
About the Calculator
The Eccentric Bolted Connection Calculator analyzes bolted connections under eccentric loading conditions following NSCP (National Structural Code of the Philippines) standards and steel design principles. The calculator features two distinct connection types accessible via dropdown selector for comprehensive eccentric connection evaluation.
Shear and Tension Bolted Connection calculates bolt forces using polar moment of inertia with custom coordinate input for any bolt pattern configuration. Combined Shear and Tension evaluates interaction between shear and tensile stresses with support for multiple fastener types (A307, A325, A490, A449, A502) and both slip-critical and bearing-type connections.
Key Features
- Eccentric shear/torsion with polar moment of inertia (J)
- Combined shear/tension with NSCP Table 2-7 formulas
- 6 fastener types with threads included/excluded options
- Slip-critical & bearing-type connection analysis

Dual Connection Type Analysis
Two connection types for eccentric shear/torsion and combined shear/tension analysis following NSCP standards
NSCP Compliant
Calculations based on NSCP Table 2-7 allowable stress formulas with support for A307, A325, A490, A449, and A502 fasteners.
Two Connection Types
Shear and Tension Bolted Connection: Eccentric shear/torsion with custom bolt coordinates and polar moment (J). Combined Shear and Tension: Angle-based load resolution with interaction formulas.
Live Calculations
Real-time computation with instant safety checks. Dynamic coordinate rows, automatic NSCP table lookups, and color-coded safe/unsafe status indicators.
